Welcome to the Department of Public Administration!

The Mission of the Department of Public Administration (PA) at Sungkyunkwan University is to educate future public service leaders with professional competence. The department prepares students with the knowledge and skills to advance public interests through the diverse and specialized curriculum: we provide comprehensive and systematic educational programs in public administration, public policy, and urban and local administration. In addition, the department has supported students to study and pass the Higher Civil Service Examination successfully.

The completion of the PA program has allowed students’ successful job placement. Our PA students are working in diverse places, including central and local governments, nonprofit and for-profit organizations, as leaders in society. Our PA graduates who have passed the Higher Civil Service Examination have played pivotal roles in government.

The PA students have continued the outstanding tradition. We, PA faculty, will continue to delivering high-quality coursework to develop principled leaders for the public and nonprofit sectors.
